With eight sites including the Museum of the Earth, the Lab of Ornithology, and the ScienCenter, the Discovery Trail promotes awareness and understanding of the connections among art, history, literature, science, and the natural world.
Taughannock Falls
Taughannock Falls State Park’s namesake waterfall is one of the most outstanding natural attractions of the Northeast. Plunging 215 feet—three stories higher than Niagara Falls. Campsites and cabins overlook Cayuga Lake, with marina, boat launch and beach nearby.
Trumansburg
Trumansburg, home of Taughannock Falls State Park, is becoming known as the Brooklyn of Ithaca, people young and old flock to its bustling Main Street, full of cafés, shops, restaurants, galleries, and entertainment in a quaint small-town setting. It’s unique and charming B&B’s make it the perfect spot to take a break from the daily grind.

Treman State Park
An area of wild beauty, enjoy 9 miles of hiking trails, swim in a pool beneath a waterfall. Explore trails that follow the gorge past 12 waterfalls, including the 115-foot Lucifer Falls. Campers can choose from tent or RV sites or cabins.
